Monday-Saturday 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm. This is a seasonal activity only available in September and October.
Suggested Time:
2 hours plus transportation times
Description:
This nonprofit supports maintaining a healthy habitat for turtle migration and provides 24/7 patrols and security during the nesting and hatching phases of turtle migration. We hold this activity in the early evening to avoid disturbing nests and to release turtles at the optimum time for survival. This is a seasonal activity available in September and October.
Suggested Plan:
30 min: Arrival. Introduction to nonprofit, habitat and turtle conservation presented in an interactive and fun way.
60 mins: Baby turtles hatched that day are released*
30 mins: Teams wash up and prepare for departure
Why Memorable?:
Participants feel the joy of connection with nature and of supporting the well-being of the unique ecology of the area, at the same time they learn about the conservation of this amazing specie. The donation provided by Travelfuture helps to maintain required staffing and operational costs for protection efforts on the beach.
Included Items:
Donation to non-profit, CSR activity program, Voluntrek bilingual coordinators, water, activity prep and coordination.
